Renaissance Brome Lake to complete overnight survey

Doré_Jaune v2

Renaissance Brome Lake will be carrying out a survey of the Walleye population in Brome Lake, overnight (dusk to dawn) from October 6 to 9. A team of biologists and wildlife technicians will install fishing equipment in the lake. Data will be collected on 1) the length and weight of the fish; 2) the presence of injuries or anomalies; and 3) the age and maturity of the fish.

For safety and efficiency reasons, lake users are asked to avoid interfering with the team’s work while the survey is taking place. The survey will be repeated again in Fall 2017.

Renaissance Brome Lake’s mission is to work towards the best possible water quality in the Lake, its ecosystems and its tributaries.

Thank you for your assistance.
