The 2020 new year is upon us
In 2019, the Renaissance Lac Brome team made constant efforts to promote behaviors that will ensure better water quality in our lake.
The quality of the shoreline and the management of runoff water throughout the watershed is at the heart of our concerns. The bio-diversity of our environment and managing aquatic invasive species are also important to ensure a healthy and balanced natural environment.
These concerns are particularly crucial in the context of increasingly severe climate changes: warmer weather in winter, exceptionally hot summer, heavy rainfall, etc. Throughout 2019, we had to face these conditions on several occasions as we dealt with a tardy spring, heavy rains with their torrents of sediment and oppressive heat in July and August. The result was murky water in the spring and a high concentration of algae in late July and throughout the fall. Even if we did not have a general bloom during the summer, our lake remains fragile.
We had enthusiastic summer students who worked with us from May to August. In October, we greeted with great enthusiasm the return of our biologist, Ms. Anaïs Renaud. She has since taken up the torch and will be sure to oversee to the completion of all important RLB files. There are many projects underway that should be completed in 2020. We will keep you posted.
The Renaissance Lac Brome Board would like to thank you for the support you have given us. Without our members, our major donors and the Town of Brome Lake, we could not continue to carry forward for our lake which is so dear to us.
May 2020 be a happy and prosperous year.

- des règlements sur les installations septiques ;
- le suivi des plans d’eau contaminés ;
