Fruitful meeting with the fishermen of Brome Lake

On saturday, June 14, RBL met the fishermen of Brome Lake to inform them of the results of the inventory conducted in the summer of 2013.

Among the findings, an imbalance in fish populations was noted. Several suggestions were made to improve the balance of the ecosystems. RBL will make the necessary adjustments to help improve the situation.

In addition, the fishermen were made aware of the presence of invasive species in the lake, including the rusty crayfish and Eurasian water milfoil. Lake users must pay more attention to their boats and ensure that they do not carry anything that may contaminate the lake. An inspection of boats, engine feet, and ballast water is essential.
